How To Follow A Blog — My First Post

J Calaway

Welcome to jcalaway.com. This is my first blog post. I am excited to share some thoughts with you in several different areas that involve leadership. I have been leading people for over 30 years and have accumulated some ideas, concepts, quotes, thoughts, writings, disciplines, and strategies. This site is where I plan to let it all go.

I intend to post 3-5 times per week. Each day I post, will be a different thought on leadership, family, social concern, health and fitness, finance, or anything I think might be practical and beneficial to you. My intention is to encourage you to lead in every area of your life. Each post will have practical insight that I have learned over the years, both in the classroom and in life experiences.

Trust me, I have not done it perfect by any stretch of the imagination, as you will soon learn, but hopefully you will learn from my failures and my successes. As I have been preparing for the launch of jcalaway.com and the blog I came up with three things I think will help you as you follow my posts or any blog you follow.

1. Read it
Each post will have tips, suggestions, and ideas you can use. Read them each time I post. This will help in giving you creativity, and ideas in your area of leadership. You can subscribe to this blog so that each time I post it will alert you in your inbox, twitter, Facebook, and any other social media platforms you use.

2. Apply it
Take each post and develop an action plan to apply what you read. Don’t just read it and do nothing. Use what works in your leadership and throw the rest away.

3. Tell it
Each post will have a question. Take a moment to answer the questions and join in the discussion. You might have a better idea on a certain subject than what I have presented. Tell everyone about it. Tell your friends about this blog and encourage them to follow it as well.

In the days and weeks to come there will be resources added to the site for you to download for free and to purchase. As the site grows there will be many areas you can get involved with, and hopefully be encouraged by. Check out my about page to get a better understanding of who I am and where I come from.

Well, Here we Go!!!

Be Blessed

Always

J
