One of the most profound truths I’ve encountered on this journey is encapsulated in the quote, "You don’t get what you don’t ask for." This simple yet powerful statement serves as a reminder of the importance of initiative, communication, and boldness in our leadership practices. If you aspire to be the kind of leader people want to follow, understanding the significance of asking can be transformative for both you and your team.
The Importance of Asking
Asking is not just about seeking help; it is an essential element of leadership that fosters collaboration and growth. In James 4:2, we read, "You do not have because you do not ask." This scripture highlights how often we miss out on opportunities simply because we fail to voice our needs or desires.
